Buju’s music career is one every musician striving to be famous can learn from. Buju released his first record in February 2018 named “Catch A Vibe.” His second record is called “A Day in Lagos.”

The creative choice for his second record was unplanned as it was recorded on a boat. Buju explains his sound as a representation of the Afro-fusion genre.

Fortunately for Buju, he got the opportunity to collaborate with Burna Boy. He met with Burna and they worked together to remix “L’Enu.” Buju’s collaboration with Burna Boy made it famous.

He also became more famous when he worked with Zlatan. Buju didn’t know he would ever work with popular musicians like Zlatan, but friends kept pushing him to give it a try.

Zlatan made a collaboration with Buju and they created the record “Spiritual.” Spiritual went viral on different music streaming platforms and it was a successful one indeed.

He was inspired by other musicians like Buju Banton, Burna Boy, Damian Marley, J Hus, and others. Buju got more famous for featuring on Ladipoe’s singles called “Feelings.”

Burna Boy’s record label is known as Spaceship Records and Buju was signed on April 16, 2020, by Spaceship Records.

Buju, therefore, did not renew his contract with the record label. He told Burna Boy that he wanted to do it on his own and make him proud.

Buju explained that Affiliation does not work for him.

In 2022, Buju officially changed his stage name to BNXN. He then released a single called “Finesse” as he collaborated with Pheelz. The song was No. 52 on the UK’s Official single chart.

In 2022 also, BNXN was featured on a Jae5 song called “Propeller” with the British rapper, Dave.
