Tottenham Hotspur announced the dismissal of Jose Mourinho as head coach last week with Ryan Mason taken over as caretaker coach temporarily. The announcement of Mourinho’s dismissal came just a few days before their Carabao Cup final loss against Manchester City as Aymeric Laporte struck a late header to secure the victory.
However, Spurs seems to have suffered a setback in their aim to search for a new coach as their top target Julian Nagelsmann was reported to have agreed to replace Hansi Flick as the coach of Bayern Munich. According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich and Leipzig are negotiating on the final fee.
Ajax manager Erik ten Haag is now the favorite to coach Tottenham Hotspur as he has only one year left in his contract after the end of the season. Erik ten Haag is known for his impressive style of football as he has tutored many talents at Ajax such as Frenkie de Jong, Matthias de Ligt, Hakim Ziyech, and Donny van de Beek. The Ajax manager is also currently topping the Dutch Eredivisie league table and is the favorite to win the league.
