Manchester United have a big task ahead as they play away to West Brom on Sunday. The Red Devils would be looking to get the three points after faltering deep into extra time in their last match against Everton during a 3-3 draw. The Red Devils were set to take the three points but conceded from a set-piece halfway through the field as Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalized very late in the match.
Manchester United attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes criticized his team’s defense after the match, claiming it was impossible to concede a goal the way they did.
“It doesn’t matter how. You can’t concede two goals and then you come again and you score again. It’s impossible to concede another goal again from a free kick in the half of the pitch,” Bruno said after the draw against Everton.
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has now reiterated the desire to get back to winning ways in the Premier League whilst urging the team to eradicate defensive mistakes against West Brom.
“At the moment it looks like we have improved but we are going into the deciding period of the season so it’s now that we have to kick on.
It’s now that we have to keep our consistency, get the quality higher, eradicate some of the mistakes we are making and be more clinical in front of goal,” Solksjaer said ahead of the match against West Brom.
The Red Devils would look to recover the second position from Leicester City, who defeated Liverpool on Saturday afternoon to move just behind table-toppers Manchester City on the league table.
