Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero is set to sign a 2-year contract with Barcelona after the Argentine had announced that he wouldn’t be renewing his contract with Manchester City and would leave the club.
Aguero would receive less than half of the wages he earned at Manchester City as a result of the delicate financial position that Barcelona is experiencing. The Argentine has been experiencing a difficult season at Manchester City this season which has seen his role subdued as he had constant injuries and could not replicate his previous form.
However, Aguero is set to link up with his fellow Argentine international Lionel Messi at Barcelona although it is not confirmed that the latter would stay at Barcelona. Messi is expected to announce his decision at the end of the season.
Aguero has a chance to leave Manchester City on a very high note as Pep Guardiola’s men are set to play in the Champions League final against Chelsea who would also be keen to win the final after losing against Leicester City in the FA Cup final.
