Real Madrid had Raphael Varane to thank after they secured a victory against Huesca despite conceding the first goal. Varane scored two second-half goals to ensure that the Los Blancos put pressure on Atletico Madrid who is comfortably on top of the Premier League table.
However, Real Madrid’s injury crisis continues to worsen as another player has been added to the injury list. Real Madrid right-back, Alvaro Odriozola has been ruled out for the midweek clash against Getafe after picking up an injury in the match against Huesca.
The Spaniard was replaced by Marcelo in the 20th minute of the match. Odriozola’s injury could mean a selection headache for Zinedine Zidane ahead of the midweek clash against Jose Bordalas’ Getafe.
Real Madrid captain is a major absentee for the Los Blancos as he recently had a surgery that would rule him out of action between 8-10 weeks. Eden Hazard was also confirmed to have picked up an injury that is expected to rule him out for over a month. Lucas Vazquez and Federico Valverde are other names on the injury list of Real Madrid.
Real Madrid’s victory took them to second position in La Liga, 3 points above Barcelona, with Barcelona set to play away to Real Betis on Sunday night.
