Famous Nigerian Rapper CDQ whose real name is Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf has addressed the public on the fact that people alleged he was arrested with Cannabis Variant and all other illegal substances by the NDLEA (Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency) when he was arrested at his Lekki residence on April 14, 2020, but has now been released.
The 36-year-old rapper made this official address on his official Instagram page where he shared a letter that he wrote addressing the public that he was not arrested with any cannabis variant as he also claimed that he has not engaged himself with any illegal substance for any reason.
You could also recall that CDQ who was born in Lagos house was stormed on April 14 by NDLEA officials who and he was immediately arrested as they got reports that he was in possession of banned substances known as ‘Loud’ by people.
Part of CDQ’s statement says, “Even though I reserve the right to respond to various falsehoods against me as published on several blogs, news site, e.t.c that I was arrested with a cannabis variant, I urge the entire public to please note that I was not found with any form/variant of any illegal substance on the day I was purportedly arrested at my Lekki residence.
“There are no conclusive reports by the NDLEA on any wrongdoing, neither have I been convicted by any court of competent jurisdiction concerning the foregoing.
“Again, I do not engage myself with any illegal substance for any reason whatsoever. I am committed to doing my very best as a professional recording artiste and ensuring that I am a law-abiding citizen of this country.”
