Jorge Masvidal has come out to say that it hurts to lose in the presence of his family to Kamaru Usman. This comes after Kamaru Usman defeated Jorge Masvidal in their rematch on Sunday at UFC 261 at Vystar Veteran’s Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
The 36-year-old American professional mixed martial artist, Masvidal made this known after the match he lost against Usman, the current UFC Welterweight Champion. From what we learned from The Punch, Masvidal also said that Usman fairly won the match and he’s better than him.
Masvidal also taught he would wrestle with him for over 25 minutes.
“I thought we were going to wrestle more. I was ready to wrestle for 25 minutes. All the props to him in the world, he caught me by surprise,” Masvidal said.
“He’s got my number, nothing I can say, but he won this fair and square, and God bless him, man.
“In the presence of my family, friends, and fans, It hurts to lose. I have never been knocked out in 50 pro fights.
“Usman showed me something he didn’t show me in the first fight. I didn’t feel his power and that’s what happens when you are overconfident.”
