Kylian Mbappe was once again superb as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Bayern Munich in the first leg of the quarter-final match. The Frenchman scored a brace with two brilliant finishes past Manuel Neuer to give PSG an advantage going into the second leg.
Mbappe has been in brilliant form especially in the Champions League this season as he also scored a hat-trick in the quarterfinals against Barcelona at the Camp Nou. A brace against the reigning European Champions is a continuity of his brilliant form this season.
Kylian Mbappe has now stated that he loves moments like the one he had against Bayern Munich and he felt no pressure playing against Manuel Neuer, despite him being one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
“As I said in Barcelona, I love this type of game. They haven’t always gone my way and maybe they wouldn’t in the future, but I’m not here to hide. I love this kind of game and being decisive.
I love to play against the best players in the world and Manuel Neuer is one of the best goalkeepers in history. I felt no pressure,” Mbappe said.
Mbappe has been dubbed as a potential Balon D’or winner and his performances especially in the Champions League this season puts him as one of the players to watch.
