The founder of the multinational technology company, Amazon, whose name is Jeff Bezos has announced that he would soon be stepping down as the CEO of the company and his successor has already been introduced by him.
The 54-year-old Jeff Bezos would still remain the founder of Amazon which was found in 1995, but he has announced another CEO of the company to take his place. Jeff Bezos announced this on Tuesday, February 2, and he made known that his new successor would be Andy Jassy.
Bezos’s successor, Andy Jazzy has been working for the company, Amazon since the year 1997 which is 2 years after Amazon was founded. Currently, Andy Jazzy is the CEO of Cloud Business in Amazon and Amazon web services.
In the statement that Jeff Bezos released on Tuesday to its employers, It states in his words, “Being the CEO of Amazon is a deep responsibility, and it’s consuming. When you have a responsibility like that, it’s hard to put attention to anything else.
“As the Executive Chairman, I will stay engaged in important Amazon initiatives, but also have the time and energy I need to focus on the Day 1 fund, the Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post, and my other passions.
“I have never had more energy, and this isn’t about retiring. I am super passionate about the impact I think these organizations should have.”
Finally, Jeff Bezos has made it known that he would be leaving soon as the CEO of Amazon, but he is not retiring.
