Manchester City announced that their club legend Sergio Aguero would be leaving the club at the end of the season. The Argentine would be leaving for free at the end of the season since his contract at the club is already expired.
However, young sensation Erling Haaland has been linked as the chosen one to replace Aguero at Manchester City. Erling Haaland has scored 34 goals in 36 Bundesliga matches since he joined the club last year. The Norwegian international has also been linked to other top European clubs but former Manchester City midfielder Trevor Sinclair has described Haaland as the “perfect candidate” to join Manchester City.
“It seems like Haaland with his rise over the last couple of years would be the perfect candidate for me.
With his connection with his dad [Alf Inge, who played for Manchester City], the style of football, he would be my choice,” Sinclair stated.
Considering Manchester City’s financial prowess and their billionaire owners, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Norwegian international joins the Etihad stadium. It would not be an easy task though as Haaland could eventually leave for a very high transfer fee.
