AC Milan maintained their lead at the top of the Serie after a 2-1 victory against Sassuolo. After Juventus’ huge win against Parma on Saturday, AC Milan was eager to get a victory against Sassuolo and they got the job done eventually despite late efforts from Sassuolo to earn a point.
However, the major talking point from the game was when AC Milan star, Rafael Leao scored straight from kick-off with 6 seconds into the game. Leao was put through on goal by Hakan Calhanoglu and the 21-year old did justice by firing the ball into the far corner of the home side’s net. With the strike being scored just 6.2 seconds into the game, Leao made the record of scoring the fastest goal in the history of Serie A.
AC Milan’s form this season has been spectacular as they have been looking very bright and sharp since the season started and it would take quite some work to get them off the top spot in the league table.
